A Lecture Series on Revelation
by Beth Moore
Beth presents many points of view, allowing women to decide for themselves when the interpretation varies among scholars. She teaches that God is as specific about what He does reveal as He is about what He does not reveal.

ROMANS: The Letter that Changed the World

Boys & Girls Club

Boys & Girls Clubs, for all kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade, meet Fridays, beginning October 7, from 7:00 – 8:30 pm. Boys meet in the gym, behind Long Hill Chapel. Girls meet in the main building.

Kids, invite your friends to join you on Fridays for an evening of fun with activities, Bible discovery, crafts, games, snacks, special events, and so much more.

NURSERY
(Infants – 24 months)
Childcare is available for well infants and toddlers during the 10:00 am Sunday morning worship service.
Room 113
(Please note: Closed circuit viewing of the Worship Service is available for nursing mothers in Room 112)

CHILDREN’S CHURCH
(Preschool: Age 2 – PreK)
Classes for preschool age children are offered during the 10:00 am Sunday morning worship service. These classes include free-play, circle-time with songs and a Bible story, an activity and snack.

4′s & 5′s – Room 102

POWERHOUSE
Children’s Worship Celebration & Small Groups
(Elementary: K – 5th grade)
A children’s worship celebration and small groups is offered during the 10:00 am Sunday morning worship service. Children gather in a large group setting for a time of welcome and announcements, worship, and an introduction of the Bible lesson. From there kids move into a small group setting with other children in their school grade for the Bible lesson, Bible memory, a small group activity and prayer time.

Titus 2 ~ Spiritual Mentoring for Women

A discipleship ministry of Long Hill Chapel’s Women’s Ministries based on Titus 2:3-4
“Teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live . . . to teach what is good.
Then they can teach the younger women . . . “

Titus 2 groups meet once a month for about 3 hours, to have fellowship over a meal, a Bible Study and prayer together. Exact times may vary from group to group depending on individual mentors’ schedules.

Each participant signs a covenant to faithfully attend a monthly small group meeting to share a meal in a mentor’s home, to read and prepare Bible study material in advance of gatherings, to discuss what God has revealed and challenged you with as you prepared the material, to listen compassionately to each other; to keep confidences and to care for and pray for one another.

In 2011-12, Titus 2 groups will use the study guide, Healing the Heart, part of the Focus on the Family Women’s Series. We are asking God to transform our lives as we examine the teachings of Jesus, David, Paul, Jeremiah and others. We will learn how to grasp hold of the freedom revealed in God’s Word as we discover anew that through Christ we are entirely forgiven of our sins and able to forgive those who caused us pain. We don’t need to be held captive by events of the past. God wants each of us to live free of guilt and grief because we are made new in Jesus. Through the power of forgiveness and faith, (we can) learn to walk the path of abundant joy promised us as children of our loving Father.* We will also learn to recognize effects of sin and how to find restoration; what forgiveness is and is not; how to identify our negative thoughts and learn to change them; how to be joyful though the regeneration of our mended souls – and much more.

Adult Ministries

Is it not remarkable that God desires to have a relationship with us? We want to encourage you to invest in that relationship, because God should not be a casual acquaintance. Therefore take the time, with others, to develop the most precious relationship that you have.

Get more involved through:

Alpha – an opportunity to explore the Christian faith, in a friendly and relaxed setting over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions; centered around a meal, a talk and small group discussion.

Community Groups – a wonderful way of connecting with others, spending time learning, sharing, encouraging and praying. Sign up here.

We invite you to come and connect with other women as you share your interests and lives with one another.

EXERCISE ~ Join this group for a weekly low impact video workout. Bring a mat or towel, wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
Mondays, 7:00 pm, Room 204 (Fellowship Hall)

DORCAS ~ Women knit & crochet simple projects for hospitals and pregnancy centers. They welcome new project ideas and anyone who crochets, knits can join them in this time of fellowship together.

This is a class both for those who would like to simply know more about Long Hill Chapel, as well as for those who are interested in becoming a member.

Participants will learn about the history, beliefs, core values, as well as, ministry opportunities available to you and your family.

Come meet leaders and others who are investigating God’s call to be committed to the body of believers here at Long Hill Chapel.
